FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Chicago to host conference on “Scientific Thought in Messianic Times.”

Bridging the seeming gap between Orthodox Judaism and science, the Moshiach Center of Chicago is proud to host the 14th annual conference on Moshiach and science, entitled “Scientific Thought in Messianic Times.” A project of the Rabbi Yisroel Aryeh Leib (RYAL) Research Institute on Moshiach and the Sciences, this year’s conference features two keynote lectures and a special video presentation:

Dr Tsvi Saks, internationally renowned topologist with IBM Corporation, will speak on “Infinity in Kabbala and Mathematics for the Layman.”

Professor Shimon Silman, Director of the RYAL Institute and Professor of Mathematics at Touro College will speak on “The Quest for Unification: From Adam to Atoms.”

In addition, there will be a special report entitled “Swords Into Plowshares – It’s Happening Now!”, and a video screening of Dr. Naftali Berg’s Lecture on String Theory. (Dr. Berg was a top scientist for the US Department of Defense as Director of the Department of Scientific Research.)

The conference is free to the public, and will be held at the Moshaich Center, 6738 N. California (at Pratt) on Sunday, May 22 beginning at 7:00 PM.
